| PHILOSOPHY My program encourages the personal and social growth of children with activities that are caring and supportive of their personal development. Our philosophy is based on respect for individuality. This gentle approach to early learning allows children the freedom to experience creativity, to explore their world, and to develop their inner strengths and resources. Mutual respect and cooperation are encouraged, as well as socializing, problem-solving and the joy of childhood. My role in this environment is to assist and guide with minimum intervention allowing children to utilize their own imaginations to succeed. Appropriate learning environments concentrate on activities that are based on their strengths rather than age. Children who experience this environment benefit by learning at a rate that is personally comfortable. I believe that children who experience this environment will delight in their sense of independence, enjoy the learning process, and respect the world around them. Children who explore and discover with confidence develop a strong foundation for future academic success. |
